JAGADGURU PRABHUPADA Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Goswami Thakur, as the Founder-Acharya of Mayapur Sri Chaitanya Math, established the Math as the original seat of pure Gaudiya Vaishnavism. He founded it to preserve and propagate suddha-bhakti, free from speculation, compromise, and material motivation. Emphasizing sravanam from a bona fide guru, he taught that the Absolute Truth reveals Himself by mercy, not imagination. Under his vision, the Math became the fountainhead of organized preaching rooted in guru, sastra, and sadhu. Its mission remains the fulfillment of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s desire: the global spread of Harinama Sankirtana.
